I stayed two nights and I didn't want maid service the first morning and when I returned to the room that night. The Hotel left a telephone voicemail message starting that they stopped by and if I need anything to call the front desk and they'd help me. The respected my privacy.
Great beds and bathrooms. My room was in fantastic condition. Awesome continental breakfast. My only complaint is that I could hear everything happening in the halls as other guests arrived. With more sound proof doors, it'd be perfect.
Stayed here a few weeks back for Antelope season. Came back for Elk and stayed at another hotel with the same rating but a little cheaper. Big mistake. You definitely get what you pay for. Professional, clean, huge modern rooms, newly remodeled, great breakfast included. Wish we had stayed here instead. Best place to stay in Ely.
I usually stay here once a yr. It is nice because it is new. It is not clean enough for me. I believe the maids do not do a very good job. My sink faucet and mirror still had the prior guests paste splatter all over it. I feel like the maid came in and restocked changed the beds picked up the garbage and straightened up a bit and left. I do not feel that the bathroom was cleaned properly. The wood floor as you come in needed to be swept and wiped up. If the maids did a proper job the stay would of been very nice. The front desk is nice and helpful and the continental breakfast is very nice.
This is an excellent La Quinta. They've recently upgraded the facility. The staff were very knowledgeable as well as friendly. The indoor pool and hot tub are a nice touch. The fitness center equipment was adequate. The area around the hotel was nice: there are several restaurants nearby, plus a grocery store and a gas station. Easy place to stay for either an adventure in the local area or just passing through!
