Andre and his team are in the "eye of the storm" for stranded travelers who are traversing a sparsely populated part of the USA. This makes their job so much more difficult because the work is unpredictable and everyone has a need for a rapid repair. My son was one of those people; his clutch went out 20 miles outside of Ely. To make a long story short, they were very accommodating and did everything they could to help us out of jam. Five stars.
Several weeks ago I got stuck 15 miles outside Ely, Nv. due to my car breaking down. Thank goodness for AAA roadside. They arranged for a tow for me. The tow driver recommend Precision Auto Repair because they were the only repair shop open on Saturdays as this was Friday night. My car is a Land Rover so all the parts had to come from Salt Lake City 250 miles away. The owner Andre and his mechanic David were terrific. I had to spend 5 nights in Ely, but Andre took care of the repair as quickly as possible. I would recommend Precision Auto Repair to anyone, local or traveling through. This is the first review I have ever felt compelled to write due to service that was/is above and beyond. In the small town of Ely, there are several auto shops to chose from. I would recommend Precision Auto Repair simply because they cater to travelers. They understand the stress that comes with breaking down while traveling and the sensation of feeling stranded. They make it their point to not only make sure you're back on the road in a timely manner but they will also work with you in terms of payments. Even though their kind hearts have been taken advantage of in the past, they still find it in themselves to be able to trust strangers just passing through.

We broke down about 50 miles from Ely in June 2017. We got great service from Precision Auto in Ely, and Andre had us on our way the next day at a fair price. The place was hopping with stranded travellers in a bit of a heat wave. I feel sorry for the locals who have to get in line!
We pulled in this morning in our motor home, barely limping along. Everyone there was so nice. Even though they were very busy, they got us back on the road in about an hour and a half and at a VERY reasonable price. We are thankful and highly recommend these wonderful folks.
